How can I send files to you

Please contact your sales representative. We provide a separate, personalized FTP location for each of our accounts or send files to a secure Fugi XM Remote portal which smoothly integrates with our press workflow. This secured location ensures the integrity of the art and data provided for your important projects.

What types of file formats do you support?

We support most, if not all, file formats, including QuarkXpress (all versions), Adobe InDesign (CS4, 5 and 5.5), Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

What types of proofs do you offer?

We can provide various types of proofs, including digital (PDF) proofs, Epson proofs, and Fuji Final proofs. We also provide two-sided color imposition proofs for construction and pagination reference.

What types of coatings are available?

We can provide a number of coating options:

  • Varnish is a clear coating applied inline or offline to a printed piece. It offers protection and can enhance the finished look.
  • Aqueous coating is a high gloss finish that doesn’t crack or scuff easily. It’s available in gloss, dull, satin, and soft-touch finishes.
  • UV coating is a clear ultra-high gloss finish applied to sheet-like ink and then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. It gives a piece high durability with an ultra gloss effect.
  • Textured coating is a specialty coating that adds a textured surface to provide a unique feel and look to a printed piece.

Are my files safe with you?

Yes! Phoenix has extensive security measures in place including the latest encryption technology to secure data in transit using Secure FTP, SSH, TLS and PGP to protect the confidentiality of all consumer information. We adopt appropriate transmission, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your data. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once it is received.

Do you offer online proofing?

Yes, we utilize Rampage online proofing with email notifications. It allows you to review the project and annotate it for corrections, approvals, and rejections.

Should I use digital or conventional offset printing?

We will help you choose the printing production process that is best for your project and budget. Phoenix customers don’t have to compromise reproduction quality when selecting digital print production. The print quality of our digital J presses will exceed the expectations of even the most critical print experts. With digital print formats up to 23 x 29, size is rarely a problem. Let us recommend the best print production method for your specific requirements.

What is the minimum order quantity for a web printed product?

Minimum order quantity depends on a number of variables, including paper weight or thickness, number of pages, finish size, and final usage. A general rule of thumb is to have a minimum order of 30,000. However, you don’t need to be a print production expert to determine what works best for you. Leave that to Phoenix. We’ll select the best production method for your project because we cover all the bases, from web to sheetfed to digital printing production.

What do I need to know about direct mail postal standards?

Our staff is trained in USPS mail requirements. We can help you with your mail piece design so that it meets all the regulations, and we can work with you to obtain the best postal rate available.

In what format should I send my data file for mailing?

We can work with any of the following formats: Microsoft Excel files, Access Database files, ASCI Text files, Comma delimited files, and files from any dBASE program.

Are your systems firewall protected?

Yes, we have deployed state-of-the-art firewalls with redundancy, fail-over, and added intelligence components to protect against new and emerging web-based threats. Our firewalls are also supplemented by a host of interrelated security systems that enable our IT department to provide proactive protection to our clients’ electronic information.
